Description
Women’s hat or bonnet in Leghorn straw decorated with light yellow silk ribbon, lace and white and purple silk flowers and ostrich feathers. Light yellow silk ribbon brocaded with black and white circles. Top of brim decorated with three light and dark blue dyed ostrich feather. Inside brim trimmed with artificial silk flowers, including white rananculus and blue cornflowers. Associated but not contemporary hat box, square, constructed in unvarnished wood, lid opens, small metal handle on top. Outside front of box with embossed ‘Maison Nouvelle’. Inside a sliding detachable wood hat support with paper skirt.
